The Grumpy (my vehicle) is a picturesque expression of emotions that I have used and created to survive the depression associated with severe injury and the inconsolable loneliness of when you feel like you can not even talk to your own family.
(A tattoo just wasn't going to cut it)
I am taking part in the Beyond Bitumen Rally to raise awareness that there is always hope in the midst of the loneliest depression.
Perhaps to some I am just a silly old man in a silly old car but to me I have seen people who know the emotions needed to survive and read the pictures on The Grumpy and they just smile and smile and that by itself is enough to get this old man through most days!
I believe Beyondblue is an incredible organisation that helps and gives people hope to fight and beat The Black Dog that's why I am asking for even the tiniest of donations to help raise awareness while I am on my adventure to show that there is life beyond depression and injury .
I want to remind people who are hurting and fighting their own war "There are to many adventures to be had" !
Regards The Grumpy Old Man :) - so my grandkids say :)
